CARF GOVERNANCE ACCREDITATION
The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) now offers the option to seek an “Accreditation Enhancement” in the area of Governance.
The first step is to compile all of your board policies and documents and compare them with the CARF governance standards. Second, trustees and senior management will be interviewed to obtain detailed information about current board practices. Third, we outline a detailed Self-Study identifying how current board practices and policies meet the CARF governance standards.
After the CARF surveyors submit their recommendations, we prepare a Quality Improvement Plan indicating what changes the board will make and when those changes will be implemented.
Upon completion of the governance accreditation process, you will have an extremely well organized electronic Board Information System for ongoing updating and reference.
